The Original Post
I found the original post I wrote last week. It covers the same ground that my post earlier this week did, but it was longer and I think it holds up, so I’ve decided to release the text for paying subscribers. It may be a little redundant, but I elaborated quite a bit on the points I made in my post earlier this week.
Daylight Savings:
I would be remiss if I let the occasion of our annual robbery go without notice. By robbery, I am of course referring to the ridiculous procedure we put ourselves through every March whereby the government robs us of one hour of sleep in the name of... Something to do with farmers... Or maybe saving electricity... Or...?
The justification has shifted over the years, because most of them proved false. But still we persist with springing forward every spring and falling back every autumn. I am aware that Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings. Good for them. Perhaps I should move there. I have been to Arizona a couple times and I liked it.
